Pilar graduated from dental school in Spain. After she completed her Oral Surgery Residency she moved to the United States in 2006 and joined the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the University of Michigan as a faculty member.

Pilar recently graduated from Yoga on High’s 200h teacher in Columbus. She specializes in the Vinyasa flow. Highly influenced by her teachers, mentors, and peers she is passionate about sharing with others the benefits of yoga not only on the mat but also as a lifestyle. She is committed to a practice that is sustainable, functional, and improves overall long-term health and fitness goals.

Pilar strives to provide classes in which the students can further develop both strength and flexibility while focusing the mind. Pilar’s classes are delivered in English, Spanish, and Sanskrit and offer dynamic strengthening sequences with special attention to breath and alignment. She offers in-studio group classes, small group beginner series, and private lessons.

Pilar looks forward to continuing her education and training every year. Outside the studio, she enjoys traveling, books, music, nature, and spending time with her family and friends.
